Pink Design is now officially closed for maternity leave!

The last order I had was just posted below. No more orders are being accepted or e-mails can be responded to after today.. I'm almost a week past my stated closing date of Sep. 18!

On Borrowed Time ~ Please Read

Hi to my readers and customers :)

As everyone knows I closed down my regular dot.com website last Wed. morning, Sep. 16.

My final close date for maternity leave was Fri. Sep. 18.

Except for 2 customers who knew they were going into this week, ALL proofs were sent for orders by Wed. Sep. 16.

Unfortunately I still have a handful of people who haven't responded to proofs that were sent before 9/16, or are still requesting monogram revisions and color changes, and I'm worried we are on borrowed time here!

Today, Tue. Sep. 22 is THE last day I can continue working on proofs sent a week ago or longer .. so I will be sending finals by the end of day today even if not responded to, to get finished up.

I have to stop working and focus on this baby!! Thank you for your understanding!

Status Update on Pink Design

Never before have I turned away so much business!

I hate doing it but am left with no choice as my doctor advised me again this morning that this baby can come at any time.

I apologize to the people I'm having to turn away!

I still have a handful of orders that were placed before today that I'm trying to finish up, but it may not be until Sunday or Monday at this point. If by any chance I can't finish someone's order, they will definitely receive a refund and credit toward future purchase! I'm trying really hard to finish up all existing orders first and foremost though, if baby gives me time :)

So my doctor thinks this baby is coming earlier than expected!

Therefore I have closed down my dot com a few days early so that I can finish as much work as possible by this weekend.

I still have many existing orders that I'm working on, not to worry for those customers who have already placed an order! But chances of me accepting new orders right now are slim!

Record Day for Blog Posts

This might be a record day for blog posts for me.. with 17 posts today not counting this one!

Phew!

Just a note that I will be taking my www.pinkdesignevents.com website OFFLINE sometime BEFORE Oct. 1 for maternity leave (posted at right).

My blog will remain viewable only but I will not be taking orders after Oct. 1.. possibly sooner as I may not make it that long!

I have an auto-email response set up notifying people of this temporary closure, which will be for at least 1 month.

Pricing for Programs

Pricing for multi-page Programs has been increased from $30 to $35, effective 9/8/09.

Slowing Down ...

I'm going to start slowing down my business a little bit before my scheduled maternity leave. I often work at a feverish pace to keep up with the amount of e-mails and orders that I receive and in my last weeks of pregnancy, cannot continue this pace.

Therefore, unfortunately, I will not be able to accept every request that I receive. Priority will be given to stock monograms and existing invitation designs, but custom artwork may not be able to be accommodated at this time.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

Right now my scheduled maternity leave is Oct. 1 but this is subject to change at any time. If it does change, I will still finish existing orders but won't be able to take on new orders.

E-mail Status / Maternity Leave

Hi everyone!

I wasn't able to access my e-mail at all this weekend.. so I'm just now starting to get caught up on Friday's e-mails!

I will try to get to respond to as many people as possible by tomorrow.

As a sidenote I'm going to start winding down my business in preparation for my maternity leave starting Oct. 1 (noted in right sidebar!) I may not be able to accept every order that comes my way, esp. orders that need to be completed quickly, I cannot take!

Temporary October Closure for Maternity Leave

Advance notice that I will be closing down temporarily starting October 1, 2009 for at least a month off for maternity leave.

If anyone has any open orders that they have not responded to me on yet for proofs or finals, now would be a good time to get that finished up!

Also, no custom business logos at this time.. those are still on hold. I am tooo swamped to take them on right now!

It's been a busy day here, as you can see with 10 posts so far for today!!

I have managed to finish Thursday, Friday, and half of Saturday's e-mails.

So I still have some Saturday, Sunday, and all of today to respond to.

Our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary

Our 1 year wedding anniversary was yesterday (August 9th)!

I can't believe it's been a year since our wedding. It really does fly by fast!

DH and I made a point to spend the entire weekend together so except for about 30 min on Saturday, I didn't work at all this past weekend. I'm now further behind than I usually am on Mondays so I apologize for the delays everyone is receiving!

I'm trying really hard right now to get back to as many people as possible. Thank you for being so patient :)

Status for Tuesday, Aug 4

Hello to all my readers :)

I had 2 doctor's appts today (ah, pregnancy!) and I was out and about too much today to answer many e-mails (ok very few).. so many from yesterday and all of today are still unanswered.

Tomorrow I will be home and am going to work really hard to get caught up again!

I receive so many e-mails that I'm doing good if I'm running 1 day behind on responding to people! It's a feat for me to respond to everyone that e-mailed me the day before lol.

Program Designs

I realized that my pricing description of program designs might be confusing! A couple of people have questioned what is considered "1 page" so I revised the wording.

Pricing for programs is as follows:

$20 for a 1-sided 1-page program design - basically this is for the simple fan program seen HERE. It is designed on 1 side, on 1 page, and folded in half over the stick.

$30 for any type of multiple page program design, booklet style, etc. Even if you're printing on 1 page for a "booklet", that 1 page folded still gives 4 sides (1 front, 2 middle, 1 back) so I consider that to be "multi-page" because I have to design 4 separate files for each folded side.

Hopefully this is a better explanation.. I might just re-name the $20 program design to "simple fan program only" to make it easier! :)

Busy Busy!

I've been very busy today as you can see with 7 posts so far, and that's just what's been finalized today! It does not include everything else I've worked on..and I have lots more to post coming in the next few days!
